{"id":6876,"date":"2020-02-24T14:47:42","date_gmt":"2020-02-24T12:47:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.athienou.org.cy\/?p=6876"},"modified":"2020-02-26T11:27:29","modified_gmt":"2020-02-26T09:27:29","slug":"program-of-acquaintance-with-the-cypriot-tradition-to-third-country-nationals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.athienou.org.cy\/en\/program-of-acquaintance-with-the-cypriot-tradition-to-third-country-nationals\/","title":{"rendered":"Program of acquaintance with the Cypriot tradition to third-country nationals."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Municipality of Athienou, in collaboration with the Municipality of Larnaca and the European Funds Unit of the Cyprus Ministry of Interior, announces the continuation of the \u201cOpen Society Program\u201d and the implementation of the action &#8220;Get acquainted with the Cyprus local tradition\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the Program is to integrate third country nationals as smoothly and as fully as possible into the local society, familiarize them with the local customs and, in general, facilitate their living conditions and their integration into the Cyprus society.<\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of this Program, a visit to the Michael Archangelos\u2019 Chapel is scheduled on March 2, 2020, the Green Monday, in order to acquaint those interested in the traditional way of celebrating the Lent day in Cyprus, with traditional dances and songs, traditional customs and games and free offering of wine and nuts.<\/p>\n<p>Interested people will be able to access the Chapel by bus, which will depart from the Church Square. Departure time at 12:00 pm.\u00a0 Return time at 4:00 pm.
